ExxonMobil Canada Properties is committed to ensuring the safety of all people associated with Sable operations.
Emergency Management and Response is one element of our disciplined management framework called the Operations Integrity Management System (OIMS) described in detail here.
The OIMS framework establishes expectations for addressing risks inherent in our business. The term “operations integrity” is used to address all aspects of our business that can impact personnel and process safety, security, health and environmental performance.
OIMS puts into practice the commitments that we document in our Safety, Security, Health, Environmental and Product Safety policies.
These policies reflect our commitment to conducting business in a manner that is compatible with the environmental and economic needs of the communities in which we operate, and that protects the safety, security and health of our employees, those involved with our operations, our customers and the public.
In an emergency involving Sable operations, maintaining the safety of those initially unaffected; ensuring the safety of those responding to the incident; and rescuing those who may have been injured are the prime responsibilities of responders and those in command.
